Per the electric vehicle crowd, the cars were the Second Coming and people wanted to hold onto them long after there lease was up, but GM took them all back and destroyed almost all of them. GM stated that they were a money loser and the program proved that there wasn’ t a strong enough demand for electric vehicles to make the venture profitable.
